All Smiles at First Annual Community Care and Share Tournament
Brockville—The Committee for the First Annual Community Care and Share Tournament has good reason to smile—over
$33,000 dollars worth.

The Care and Share Tournament August 26th enjoyed beautiful weather to host the new event, with close to 200
golfers participating. Created from the best of the former Prostate Cancer Research Tournament, the fundraiser is
the first joint effort by the Civitan Brockville, Brockville Lions and Brockville Kinsmen clubs. Holding the cheque are (front row, l – r) Cathy Thomas, Kay and Charles Guy, and Carol Dunn. Cheering in the back row are (l – r) Dave Cavanaugh, Brockville and Area Special Olympics; Mike Galbraith, Brockville Lions Club; Ray Marshall, Brockville General Hospital President and CEO; Adrian Geraghty, Tournament Committee Chair; Don Russell, Brockville Kinsmen; and Court LePage, Brockville Civitan. Eighty percent of the proceeds will go to support the Brockville Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Program at BGH, with the remaining funds split among the three service clubs to target their respective charitable initiatives.
