Strategic Maneuvers in Black and White
.JPG)
Gala Co-Chair Marsha Lindsay, event designer Peggy Irvine and Captain Bill
Cameron of the Brockville Rifles stand in dark relief against the black and
white interior of the Brockville Armouries during a recent “Black and White
Gala” committee planning session. On September 25th, the Brockville and
District Hospital Foundation will host a Black and White Gala to celebrate
the 125th anniversary of Brockville General Hospital. The evening will offer
cuisine stations, a cash bar, a cash silent auction and musical
entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Brockville Armouries. All
proceeds go toward the purchase of an Isotope Indicator—state of the art
medical equipment used in the accurate detection and assessment of breast
cancer in the lymph nodes. Tickets can be purchased at either Brockville
Scotia Bank locations—King Street or Stewart and Parkedale.
Interior Designer Peggy Irvine is enjoying the challenge of designing an
elegant black and white décor in the historic building. “As fundraisers go,”
says Irvine, “it won’t be an event. It will be an experience.”
