Smile Cookie campaign brings new equipment to BGH

The Brockville Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign had the most successful year to date in 2009, raising $6,478 for Brockville General Hospital equipment, including a blood pressure monitor, an IV training arm, a pediatric pulse oximeter, a patient protection half-apron and a walker. Shane Joyce, Owner/Operator of the six Tim Hortons locations in Brockville, presented a cheque this week to Joan McLaughlin, Executive Director, Brockville and District Hospital Foundation.

BGH nurse educator Diane Bowen, left, has already started training registered practical nurses Cecil Bucci, Wes Fulton and others using the new intravenous training arm.

At the BGH Garden Street Site, RPN Brittany Baldwin, left, RPN Laurie Earle and RN Rosemary Van Hartskamp have a look at the new blood pressure monitor.
