Third Annual Screen for the Cure Tournament a Success

Brockville—The Third Annual Screen for the Cure Tournament June 17th was attended by 133 golfers playing on 34 teams. Pictured is the winning team: (l – r) Rod Keary, Gary Lalonde, Gary Bruce, and Brian Van Mierlo.

Screen for the Cure raises funds to purchase screening equipment at Brockville General Hospital for colorectal cancer—the fourth most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canada and one that has a high survival rate if caught early. To date, the Screen for the Cure tournament has raised $85,000 toward screening equipment purchases at the hospital.
