Ribbon
cutting for redecorated lounge at BGH Garden Street Site

The official ribbon
cutting of the redecorated Garden Street Site Residents’ Lounge at
Brockville General Hospital was held on Dec. 16. The redecorated lounge
features an electric fireplace and leather chairs, which are now a popular
place for patients and their families to sit and relax. Volunteers Colette
Naylor and Gail Parslow orchestrated the redecorating, with help from BGH
maintenance staff, while volunteer Shirley McMillan handled the sale of
break-open lottery tickets which made the $8,000 redecorating project
possible. From left: Shirley McMillan, Paul Gray, Fred Gerow (in back),
Colette Naylor, Sherry Anderson, Dan Smith, Gail Parslow and painter Dale
Dixon.
