BGH Sees Good Local Response to Paper Survey
Leeds/Grenville—Brockville General Hospital reports a good response to access to paper
copies of the Clinical Services Roadmap community survey via partnership with the City of Brockville and the United Counties of Leeds
and Grenville.
“The on-line survey is available to the public until May 15th,” explains Heather Crawford,
VP Clinical Services and CNE for the hospital, “but we know a certain portion of our population do not have e-mail or a computer to
register for the survey. We asked the City and the Counties to help offer paper copies to our residents who need them and they were
happy to assist. The response has been very good.”
The Clinical Services Roadmap is the current regional review of clinical services by the South
East Local Health Integration Network. Seven areas—Surgical, Restorative Care, Mental Health and Addictions, Maternal/Newborn,
Hospital-Acquired Infections, Emergency Department, and Cardiovascular—are under review with the aim to create a regionalized system of
integrated health care that will ensure everyone has access to the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
The community survey is for public input regarding patient care and is found at
http://www.southeastlhin.on.ca/HealthCareRoadmap. Paper copies can
be requested at both BGH sites, from the City Clerk at Brockville City Hall, and at any municipal office in Leeds/Grenville.
Crawford says the completed paper copies can be dropped off where they were picked up, or
at the main reception of the Charles Street site of BGH.
“We’re pleased to see people who cannot use the on-line version taking paper copies to fill
out,” she says. “We want to remind them to return the copies by the 15th so we can get them to the LHIN in time.”
