Catherine Gray Lounge re-dedicated at BGH

Brockville General Hospital officially re-dedicated an upgraded lounge as the Catherine Gray Lounge on Thursday. The Catherine Gray Lounge has been moved from the third floor to a patient area on the first floor of the Charles Street Site, and several volunteers worked to furnish and decorate the room for patients and their families. The late Catherine Gray volunteered at BGH for 40 years in many capacities, and she received a Caring Canadian Award from the Governor General. On hand for the ribbon cutting were, from left, President and CEO Ray Marshall, Catherine’s daughters Jean Kerr and Elizabeth Wesely, Volunteer Association President Marla Gilliland and Board of Governors Vice-Chair Hugh Bates. In the background are (at left, seated) incoming Volunteer President Maureen Overy and (at right) Board Member John Southin, Volunteer Association Life Member Dot Brennan and Charge Nurse Beth Gibson.
