BROCKVILLE GENERAL HOSPITAL Healthy People ~ Outstanding Care NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Tuesday, May 19, 2009 * Image attached * Brockville General Volunteers donate $20,000 to Cardiovascular Program
The Brockville General Volunteer Association donated $20,000 to Brockville General Hospital’s new Cardiovascular Program during the Association’s Annual General Meeting today (Tuesday, May 19). Past President Marla Gilliland, left, and new President Maureen Overy present the cheque to Dr. Jay Bhatt, an internist and the driving force behind the creation of the centre, and BGH Vice-President Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executive Bernadette MacDonald, right. The Volunteer Association is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year. Volunteers raise money by operating Eleanor’s Café and Gift Shops at Brockville General Hospital’s Charles and Garden Street sites.
