A Toast to Success Raises Over $9500 for Brockville Cardio Rehab Program

Close to 200 appreciative samplers packed the Brockville General Hospital cafeteria April 22 for the Second Annual Wine Tasting in support of the Brockville Cardiovascular Rehab Program. Four restaurants, four wineries and one brewery—all from the local area—provided the gastronomic entertainment to help raise over $9500.  The Cardio Rehab Program offers individualized programs of exercise, education, and counseling to help patients dealing with heart surgery, angiogram with stenting, bypass, angina, or valve replacement. The unit, which receives no government funding, is celebrating a successful first year in operation.
